Life always throws curveballs. Rarely – if ever, do you hear of someone who hasn’t experienced a major change at some point in their life. While it is thrilling to know you can’t control everything, sometimes you wish you had a bit more going for you. More times than not, advice and support are as good as gold when these curveballs come our way.

These organizations all seek to provide support to households in need.

HumanKind seeks to come alongside those who want a better life for themselves and those they care for. The mission of HumanKind is, “...to strengthen individuals, families and communities through care, counseling and education.”
They offer services that support and encourage those who are wanting to improve their quality of life through focusing on six areas. They focus on health and wellness, early childhood development, mental and behavioral health, economic opportunity, developmental disabilities, and youth and family services.
This organization has had an incredible impact on the Lynchburg community. The website has page after page filled with transforming stories of those who were affected by the help of HumanKind.

The final organization we would like to draw your attention to is the Jubilee Family Center. This center is dedicated to helping at-risk youth achieve all that they aspire to. They don't stop at at-risk youth though. They have grown to include adult programs designed to equip adults with the skills and knowledge they need to support and provide for themselves and their family.
Jubilee focuses on mentorships which cater to the needs of each individual in a unique and personal way. Their programs range from youth health education to adult homeownership classes. Through these programs, the Jubilee Family Center has been able to help the community of Lynchburg, receiving both local and national recognition.
